About

Hello, I’m Tacita.

Mum of two, founder of VIYVA, and someone who spent a very long time living on toast.

How it started

Two under two, and no one asking how I was eating

After my second baby, my days were feeds, nappies and whatever I could eat with one hand. A protein shake every morning was the thing that kept me going. But every one I tried was made for the gym, not for a body that had just grown and birthed a baby.

I couldn’t find one made for new mums, so I decided to make it.

Why it matters

When you’re pregnant, everyone tells you what to eat. Once the baby arrives, all the focus shifts to them.

But you’re still healing, adapting, often feeding, and running on very little sleep. Your body still needs looking after.

Eighteen months later

What went into VIYVA

  • A complete plant-based protein blend, with all the essential amino acids
  • 18 vitamins and minerals, chosen for life after birth
  • Oats, ginger, choline, algal DHA and live cultures
  • A creamy vanilla you’d actually want to drink

It’s not a meal replacement. It’s one easy, nourishing habit for one of the most demanding times of your life.

The science bit

Developed with Dr Adam Cunliffe, RNutr

I worked with Dr Adam Cunliffe for eighteen months to get the formula right: what a postnatal body needs, in amounts that matter, in a shake that actually tastes good.

Adam is a UK Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with a PhD in Clinical Nutrition from St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital. He’s spent over 25 years researching and teaching nutrition, has designed and run nutrition degrees at London universities, and has more than 50 published scientific papers. You might have seen him on the BBC, Channel 4 or CNN, or in Time and goop.

“It was a pleasure working with Tacita to formulate this unique blend of targeted ingredients to support new mothers. The balanced protein base is complemented by carefully selected nutritional elements to give maximum benefit to mother and baby.”Dr Adam Cunliffe, RNutr
